Born into a European dynasty of collectors, John C. Kulukundis’ heritage has defined his life’s work.
“My family have been avid collectors for generations, and I was privileged to grow up surrounded by a formative array of paintings and sculptures, from emerging artists to fine art. As a young child, I’d take myself to the Victoria & Albert Museum, to marvel over old master paintings and magnificent gemstones. By the time I was eight, I’d bought my first pieces — a Siberian Amethyst and Japanese Netsuke — both of which I still own.”
